                                                         Cemetery Project
                                                       Oak Knoll Cemetery  
The Oak Knoll Cemetery,aka Brigg Corner Cemetery, is located on Tremont and Park St.,Route
  118,Rehobath, Ma. the Northwest part town approximately 3 miles from the center of Attleboro. This Cemetery has two parts, the old or free part and the new, both parts are  fairly well kept up. The new part open approximately forty five years ago. Some of the graves are more than one hundred years old. Some of the oldest graves are names like Samuel Macomber, who died in 1771 at the aged of 53; Remember Kent, who died in 1773, aged 28;  Jacobs Kent who died in 1780 Both parts of the cemetery are fairly well kept up, but with out funds for the perpetual care. There is a holding tomb in this cemetery.The tomb holds 20 caskets. In 1978 during the snow storm 30 caskets was stored inside the holding tomb.When the ground is to hard with ice they have to place the caskets in the holding tomb. They haven't had any vandalism and there is a restriction for planting.   There is a marble monument to the memory of Rev. Thomas Perry who died Aug.29 1852 at aged 70.  


 One of the Largest Family plots there are the Perry family, which consist of approximately forty graves. There are children plots also, however they are in the family plot area. Veterans are there also approx.1500 veterans plots  The care taker's name is Raymond Obeng age 83. his wife Margie is the secretary of books. Mr Obeng said, they will be opening another large parcel of land in the near future. This was a awaking experience, and from reading the sacred art of dying Chapter5 Tibetan Attitudes Towards Death I have been enlighten concerning death and how we can choose to die.
